The archive includes various published documents (mostly articles, catalogues, and invitation cards) on Hungarian Artists from the end of the 19th century. The collection based on the notes and paper-clippings of Gyula Szentiványi who planned to write the 'Encyclopædia of Hungarian Art' in the first half of the 20th century. This collection has been improved and maintained by the Institute for Art History from the 1960s.
